Engine Guard

When we started taking measurements for the Honda X-ADV components, we found that the engine sump is quite exposed, even lower than the exhaust pipe, but also lower than any other part of the bike. Hence through contact with a rock or bump, the engine crankcase would take the full force of any collision resulting in expensive damage. Therefore, our approach was to make a protective cover for the whole area that would prevent any such damage. We designed an engine guard dense enough to provide protection but with ample grills for cooling but also for water or mud to flow through. We made it as a continuation of the existing guard so that in the event of a collision there is the flexibility to absorb part of the impact, thus protecting the engine sump.
The engine guard is made of 4mm-thick aluminium and powder-coated in black or silver thus providing two colour options. Additional parts are made of strong 2mm-thick inox and all bolts are galvanized steel. Rubber washers, providing stability and flexibility are also included. All components necessary for installation are included and, of course, installation instructions. When mounted on your scooter, the engine guard is not the most visible component, however, it will provide invaluable protection and avoidance of unnecessary expenses in the case of collision. You can now take your bike off road without thinking twice.
